My first tattoo.
This wasn’t the first thing I wanted to get but it means the most to me. I honestly wake up every morning, take a look at my ankles and remember to stay true.
But what does this tattoo mean? “Stay True” stay true to what? to who? for what?
So, as some of you may know I was QUITE the partier. I partied more than I was at school. Well into being 17 I finally realized I just needed to STOP, stop everything I was doing to my body that was ding harm to it; the weed, the cigarettes, and the massive amounts of liquor. I loved it all so leaving it behind was hard at first. Thanks to some great friends of mine, (Austin DiSalvo, Alex Kenny, Tyler Newfield, and Shelby Alexander), I made my way into the sober life. Now, I can’t imagine taking a drink of alcohol, getting so blazed that I think there’s big black cats in the trees, or having my lungs look like charcoal.
So the whole “Stay True” thing came about because someone I use to be very close to is edge and has it tattooed on his knuckles and I told him someday I would get it tattooed on me.
My meaning is not only to stay sober, but to stay true to what I want to do with my life, my feelings, and my own personal choices. I don’t need to worry about other people. Just me.
